Deputy Manager - Process

Production & Process Management
  • Ensure daily execution of blade manufacturing operations as per production schedules.
  • Monitor and control critical manufacturing processes including mold preparation, layup, infusion, curing, demolding, assembly, finishing, and inspection.
  • Ensure process compliance as per work instructions, SOPs, and engineering specifications.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and EHS teams to achieve production targets.
  • Drive line balancing and productivity improvement initiatives.
Process Excellence
  • Analyze production losses, cycle times, and process bottlenecks.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement CAPA.
  • Improve process capability and reduce rework/rejection levels.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to blade quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Monitor critical process parameters and quality checkpoints.
  • Work closely with Quality teams to reduce defects and improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Facilitate resolution of customer complaints and internal quality issues.
EHS & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS requirements during manufacturing activities.
  • Promote zero-harm culture across the shop floor.
  • Conduct safety observations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure statutory and organizational compliance related to manufacturing operations.
Team Management
  • Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators.
  • Develop team capability through coaching, training, and skill enhancement initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, productivity, and performance management.
  • Manage manpower deployment and shift operations efficiently.
Cost & Productivity Improvement
  • Drive reduction in material consumption, scrap, and process waste.
  • Monitor manufacturing KPIs and implement corrective actions.
  • Support digitalization and automation projects within blade manufacturing.
  • Contribute to annual cost-saving and productivity enhancement programs.
Educational Qualification
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Composite Materials, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Preferred experience in Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing, Composite Manufacturing, Aerospace Composites, FRP, Renewable Energy, Automotive Composites, or Heavy Engineering.
  • Experience in blade processes such as Layup, Infusion, Curing, Finishing, and Assembly will be preferred.
