Engineering Manager
You lead the Affinidi Elements engineering team in developing a secure, well-tested, performant platform. You guide architecture, solve complex technical problems, collaborate on the technology roadmap, uphold engineering standards, deliver complex features, and coach engineers while building a diverse and transparent team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team in developing Affinidi Elements features and improvements
- Analyze complex problems and convert them into actionable tasks
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and other stakeholders
- Build the product and technology roadmap with peers and stakeholders
- Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements
- Guide the team in solving large-scale technical problems
- Maintain coding, style, maintainability, and architectural standards
- Own delivery of complex features and improvements
- Coach and mentor engineers
- Create a diverse, collaborative, and transparent team culture
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering teams delivering production-quality products
- Strong leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and technical writing skills
- Strong coding skills and a pragmatic hands-on technical approach
- Experience diagnosing and preventing performance and optimization issues
- Knowledge of clean architecture, CI/CD, testing best practices, and coding standards
- Background in cloud-native environments, preferably AWS serverless
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency in design patterns, C4 Model, and ADRs
- Experience building CLIs, SDKs, and developer portals
- Extensive experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React
- Experience with REST APIs and Test-Driven Development
- Knowledge of privacy by design, security, and high-performance systems
