This
is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and proactive individual. As the
Transport & Despatch Operations Manager, you will be required to manage
delivery trucks, resources, daily capacity planning, data analysis, customer
service levels and KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. In this
position, you will be the primary link between operations, sales and transport
service providers; being the connection point for all activities relating to the
transport and dispatch department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the transport team providing deliveries, coordinating collects and
internal transfers.
- Ensure performance, profitability, and other KPIs are fulfilled.
- Monitor and manage the operation's ongoing profitability while reducing costs.
- Communicate with office staff to ensure smooth running of transport &
despatch activities.
- Actively develop and upskill your team, including identifying any
cross-training or development opportunities
What
You Will Need to Succeed
- Formal qualification in relevant field (Preferred)
- Industry experience
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and grow teams
- A real dedication to improving health, safety, and the environment
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills
- Experience in operating computer applications, programs and systems
