Position Summary:


Blitt and Gaines, P.C. is seeking a motivated Part-Time Associate Attorney to join our Missouri team. This role offers substantial courtroom experience and immediate responsibility for managing a litigation caseload. The Part-Time Associate Attorney will appear regularly in court on behalf of the firm, review and approve pleadings, and handle contested litigation matters. This position is designed for a reduced-hour schedule while maintaining high professional standards and caseload accountability. There are no billable hour requirements.


We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible with a candidate who is ready to contribute immediately.


Essential Duties:


· Appear in court on behalf of the firm as scheduled (based on part-time schedule and business needs)

· Review of new claims to ensure legal and procedural compliance

· Review and approve pleadings prepared for court filing, including complaints and motions

· Draft motions and responses related to contested matters

· Argue contested motions and handle trials and arbitrations as assigned

· Manage telephonic and written communications with opposing counsel

· Prepare and respond to discovery requests

· Oversee counterclaims involving the firm or its clients
