We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing team. This role is responsible for supporting pricing strategy through detailed cost, price, and margin analysis, developing customer quotations, supporting bid and proposal submissions, and providing actionable insights to business leaders. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with manufacturing and financial acumen to help drive profitable growth.
Work Location: Hybrid | Chicago, IL
This position is based in our Chicago office and requires a blend of onsite and remote work.
Travel: Minimal travel required
Compensation ranges from $75K - 85K.
What You'll Do:
- Develop cost estimates and pricing models using inputs from Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Product Development, and historical production data.
- Perform cost, pricing, and margin analyses to support business decisions and profitability objectives.
- Prepare customer quotations, competitive bids, and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with company pricing strategy and margin targets.
- Build, maintain, and update cost models for products, business units, and manufacturing locations.
- Analyze production costs, market trends, competitive pricing, and customer pricing opportunities to identify areas for improvement.
- Support pricing escalators, de-escalators, and other pricing mechanisms as business conditions evolve.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Development, and Procurement to deliver accurate and timely pricing recommendations.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in pricing, estimating, cost accounting, or manufacturing analysis.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing cost drivers, including BOMs, routing, machine rates, waste, setup times, standard costs, and variances.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
