Principal Java Developer Architect
Job Summary:
onsemi is seeking a Data Architect / Systems Analyst to lead the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise manufacturing data and analytics solutions. This role is responsible for delivering scalable data collection, reporting, and analytics capabilities, with a focus on Exensio, Tableau, and manufacturing data platforms, leveraging Java, Python, and technologies to enable data-driven decision-making and support Corporate Engineering Yield & Analysis initiatives across global manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data integration, ETL, and data collection solutions to support manufacturing, engineering, and analytics applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable, and efficient technical solutions.
- Develop, test, deploy, and support applications, interfaces, and automation solutions using established software development best practices.
- Extract, transform, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- Optimize data pipelines, storage, and processing frameworks to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Design and implement containerized data workflows and integration services to support modern application deployment and operations.
- Provide ongoing application maintenance, production support, troubleshooting, and enhancement delivery for enterprise data and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, and IT teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver business-critical solutions.
- Support cloud migration and hybrid integration initiatives, ensuring seamless data flow between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to data architecture, integration, and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Strong experience in data architecture, data integration, and ETL development, including data extraction, ingestion, transformation, cataloging, wrangling, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, Perl, and Unix shell scripting (Bash/C-Shell), with experience developing enterprise-grade applications and data solutions.
- Experience with Java Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, JSP, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Vertica, Cassandra, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Experience developing and supporting analytics and reporting solutions using TIBCO Spotfire and Tableau.
- Familiarity with data quality, governance, and performance optimization practices for large-scale data environments.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, containerization, and hybrid cloud/on-premises deployments.
- Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies is an advantage.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, test operations, and engineering analytics is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across global cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, coding standards, source control, testing practices, and Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business and technical requirements.
