QSSR-SENIOR NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
- Designing, configuring, administering, and maintaining the organization’s LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet, and network infrastructure.
- Configuring and managing switches, routers, firewalls, access points, servers and other network devices.
- Monitoring network performance, availability, bandwidth utilization, and security.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network, internet, server, hardware and connectivity problems.
- Managing IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, user access, and network authentication.
- Implementing and maintaining network security controls, firewall rules, VPNs and access policies.
- Supporting installation and maintenance of fiber optic, structured cabling, CCTV/IP cameras, wireless systems and other ICT infrastructure.
- Performing preventive maintenance and technical support for computers, printers, UPS systems and other IT equipment.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, IP addresses, equipment and technical changes.
- Supporting IT asset management and ensuring ICT equipment is properly installed configured, maintained and secured.
- Working with Internet Service Providers and external ICT service providers during installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades.
- Providing technical guidance to junior IT staff and supporting users in resolving ICT-related problems.
- Reporting. Prepare and submit monthly reports to head IT.
Requirements
- Education. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field. A relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Experience. At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably 5+ years, in network administration and IT infrastructure support.
- Strong practical experience in LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VLANs, routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and network troubleshooting.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco, MikroTik, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, or equivalent network equipment.
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, user administration, network monitoring and backup systems.
- Experience with fiber optic networks, structured cabling, wireless networks, IP cameras/CCTV, printers, computers, UPS systems and other ICT equipment.
- Knowledge of network security, access control, firewall configuration, vulnerability management and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to monitor network performance, identify faults and restore services within minimum downtime.
- CCNA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred; CCNP, Fortinet, Microsoft, Linux, or cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage.
