This position reports to:
R&D Team Lead__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the R&D Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Working as main contributor in R&D projects developing mechanical/electrical design for electrical products and with ability to guide junior team members
Acting as project leader or project member and leading specific product quality improvements and follows the results
Contributing with innovative and creative ideas to R&D activities
Improving product quality and participating in relevant product and process improvement programs
Writing well-structured and concise technical reports and providing consulting services to business operations and customers.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelors degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Electrical, Electro- mechanical, Mechatronics or Robotics.
Experience 5+ years in 3D Mechanical design using * Solidworks required *(sheet metal module preferred)
Experience working with electrical products integration. (MCC, Switchgear)
PLM experience (Windchill preferred)
Advanced English required
