Security Architect
Salary: $160 - $185ph (inc-Super) - weekly pay options
- 9 + 12 + 12 month contract
- NV1 Security Clearance Required

Our client, Australia's national criminal intelligence agency, require the services of an Enterprise Security Architect.
Duties of the Enterprise Security Architect
- Design, build, & oversee security infrastructure, ensuring systems are resilient against threats;
- Support the program in definition of effective ICT Security capabilities & solutions to meet capability & business requirements;
- Ensuring that the solution is fit for purpose from a security perspective & meets policies & compliance requirements including:
- ISM & IRAP;
- Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) & Home Affairs Security Accreditation Frameworks;
- Partner security & compliance requirements.
- Support architecture strategies including: Choice of technology, System/Solution Architecture Strategy, Development & Deployment Infrastructure Strategy, Inter-program collaboration, & Implementation Strategy;
- Design & support implementation of key security capabilities including: Federated Identity & Access Management, Gateways and Firewalls, Security Information & Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection/prevention, Threat & Virus analysis & Encryption (at rest and in transit) on Azure Cloud;
- Coordinating security accreditation activities across the program;
- Developing key security documents (SSP Annex, SSP, SRMP, SOPS) that underpin the security accreditation and architecture governance processes.
Skills and Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience in designing & overseeing the implementation of enterprise-wide ICT security solutions in a multi-agency environment, including the ability to define a program of work to achieve tangible & measurable business benefits;
- A deep understanding of solution design to ensure that the solution is fit for purpose from a security perspective and meets ISM & IRAP policies & compliance requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage security architecture technical designs;
- Experience in design and engagement with existing Enterprise Security capabilities (including SIEM and SOC);
- Experience in designing and supporting organisations developing and supporting security capability through Scaled Agile and DevOps methodologies;
- Familiarity and experience using architecture frameworks and notation methods (such as TOGAF, AGAF, SABSA, NEAF, etc.) (desired).
