Senior Hardware Engineer

Our client is an established global technology group with a long standing engineering presence in Singapore, developing high performance test and measurement instrumentation used worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop baseband hardware for high-performance signal analysis and network measurement instruments
• Take ownership of the underlying building blocks, spanning high-speed digital I/O interfaces, power management, memory and associated interface design
• Build and configure test environments to verify that hardware meets its functional and performance specifications
• Investigate hardware issues through to root cause and develop practical solutions
• Work closely with colleagues across firmware, software, mechanical and product functions to bring products to a successful release
• Lead or contribute to the transfer of newly developed products from engineering into the manufacturing environment

Requirements

• A degree or master's in Electrical, Electronic or Communications Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5 years of hardware development experience in consumer electronics or test and measurement
• Practical design experience across high-speed digital interfaces, power management and memory subsystems
• Sound working knowledge of design considerations for EMC and environmental safety
• Strong problem solving ability, with the judgement to prioritise and keep the wider context in view
• A collaborative team player who takes ownership and communicates clearly across functions
