System Tester

Overview

SCCI is seeking a System Tester for manned aircraft projects for the Battle Management System (BMS) family of projects. In this position you will plan, conduct, and report results of test and evaluation of the systems and products of the project teams within the BMS portfolio as part of the BMS Rapid Development Process with a particular focus on software testing. This testing includes developmental testing as well as system level testing to ensure the products are well characterized and understood before delivery to the warfighter. The team conducts testing both in the lab and in the field with constant focus on improving the speed, efficiency, and accuracy of test and evaluation to ensure the highest quality products are delivered as quickly as possible. Travel may be required to CONUS locations for installation, integration and testing, working closely with other stakeholders, customers, flight personnel, and end users. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of testable requirements and project test strategies
  • Develop and document methodologies for weapon systems integration and verification
  • Conduct test evaluation of weapon control systems during development and prior to formal release both in the laboratory and in the field
  • Work with developers to troubleshoot issues found during testing and report results through documentation and tickets
  • Participate in the installation and assessment of the system conducted locally and remotely
  • Collaborate across technical teams through regularly scheduled milestone meetings
  • Manage tasking efficiently and meet deliverable timelines in a fast-paced environment
