Fisher Associates is seeking an experienced Traffic Project Manager (Civil Engineer) to lead the delivery of roadway and traffic infrastructure projects across New York State. This is a client-facing leadership role within our growing transportation design practice, responsible for guiding projects from scoping and preliminary design through final design and construction support.
With a strong backlog of transportation work and long-standing public-sector relationships, you’ll manage impactful NYSDOT and federally funded projects that improve safety, mobility, and quality of life in the communities where you live and work. What You’ll Do as a Traffic Project Manager
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning, design, and delivery of traffic and transportation projects from scoping through construction support.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality to ensure strong technical and financial performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, NYSDOT, and other regulatory agencies.
- Oversee QA/QC, risk management, billing, reporting, and project closeout.
- Guide design strategy and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
- Strengthen client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Support business development efforts, including proposals, scope development, and fee estimates.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
